For much of the way, These Foolish Things not only drips with catty dialogue, it fairly overflows, so much so that you half wonder if it's meant to be a satire. Alas, no. Go to Full Review

Tiresome. Even those who relish a good backstage drama may have trouble caring. Go to Full Review

09/29/2020 A period piece with a quaint storyline of struggling artists and romance See more 05/13/2014 Once again Zoe Tapper is wonderful in this film as the girl trying to become an actress. I couldn't stop watching it, I was so tied up in her character. Angelica Huston was great in it and Terrence Stamp was so funny. he had some of the best lines in the film! Both lead actors that are trying to win over zoe take your breath away, and you really route for both of them. You truely are left confused as to who she should end up with till the end. This is also a new twist on most Pre World War II films, as it involves more of the theater with the back drop of the war building up. I loved it! See more 01/29/2008 Kinda long, but entertaining. Kinda complex, you get to know some of the characters really well, but you can't compenetrate too well with most of them. See more 11/30/2007 Definately not the best movie ever made. I saw it on the shelves, and was like, "ooh, 30's!", so I rented it. Waste of time. When the best actor in a movie is the butler, something is dreadfully wrong. I also couldn't get over the fact that one of the main characters (Robin) looked so much like Michael Jackson. Adorable story, but wayyyyyy over done. See more 07/30/2007 I enjoyed watching the film, and some moments in it were touching. But overall, there were more problems than virtues. Great casting. Not very good storytelling.
