Tom W @TexOracle Dec 14 Just used this film as an example of "bait and switch" (Roofman) for what's advertised as a comedy, and turns out to be an Indy drama, not at all what was expected, and if the trailer did the actual film any justice to represent what it is, it would have a very small audience indeed, and rightfully so. Personally, the movie was thirty minutes too long, the characters could have been paced better, and the most exciting moments of the entire film was when he was creating the world-famous town, Marwen. Beautifully told as it centers around one event that happened before the events of the film and how this troubled man, played by the great Steve Carrell, tries to adapt to his brand new life as his old one was beaten out of him. An interesting premise, but the execution was underwhelming, though not terrible. See more Chris K 11/06/2024 Dude. I don't know what I watched. It's worth watching.
