Built in 1851, Cliveden House has been the home of various aristocrats and royals. It was a favorite of Queen Victoria and was frequented by the Queen and her sister, Princess Margaret, in their youth. In the early 20th century, it was also visited by Winston Churchill, George Bernard Shaw and Charlie Chaplin, and later became the setting for the infamous Profumo Affair. The luxury five-star hotel's 162 staff members are busy in preparation for the arrival of Meghan Markle for her last night as a commoner before her marriage to Prince Harry.
