Emily St. James AV Club [T]he fact that this show is so confident of all of its characters and all of its settings that it feels like it should pay off even some of the smaller ones in its first season finale suggests a series that's really hitting its stride. Rated: B+ Oct 30, 2019 Full Review Ed Bark Uncle Barky Archer in fact has its moments. It also features sterling voice-over work by H. Jon Benjamin, who's in command from start to stop. Rated: B Oct 29, 2019 Full Review Steve Greene indieWire Perhaps what's most impressive about "Archer" is that it has managed to continually weave an intricate linguistic tapestry to go along with the "Mad Men"-adjacent visual aesthetic it had at its outset. Jul 5, 2018 Full Review Will Wade Common Sense Media This witty series flips the conventions of the espionage thriller, creating an entertaining and original show. Rated: 3/5 Oct 29, 2019 Full Review Seth Amitin IGN Movies When the show lacked in plot at times, the characters, magnificent dialogue and voice acting kept the show flying. Rated: 9.2/10 Oct 28, 2019 Full Review Eileen Jones The eXile The effect can be like some sort of engrossing hallucination you're having that happens to be killingly funny in spots. James H Archer starts its 14 season run strong with wickedly cynical and witty writing, a fun voice cast, and memorable animation. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/07/23 Full Review Trey W Enjoyed start to finish. All very interesting characters and entertaining stories. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/13/23 Full Review Draconic D Excellent Show, Exactly What I Needed To Watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Austin B I never thought animation could be this much fun. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A really good first season. I like the style of art. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review cameron M Archer gives you a feel of a self absorbed immature James bond who's has a carless attitude even when in the field. Who works at poorly run spy agency and who's a serial work place dater but he's ex with Lana who he's clearly still in love with gives us a great dynamic of hatred, jealously and attraction in the first season. He's mother who's the boss of the Agency ISIS shows us a why he's so flawed with her relationship with Sterling (archer). Season 1 gives us some background characters who as the season goes on become more and more essential and can see they are becoming less a supporting cast and becoming more apart of the main group of characters. Have and will continue to recommend to friends who enjoy animation shows. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/09/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a review
