Tom Selleck stars as Frank Reagan, the New York Police Commissioner, and patriarch of the Reagan clan, a multigenerational family of cops. Frank's oldest son is Danny, a seasoned detective and Iraqi War veteran who occasionally uses dubious tactics to solve cases. Daughter Erin, the lone female, is an assistant district attorney. Fresh out of Harvard Law, Jamie is the youngest member and "golden boy" of the family. Jamie gave up a lucrative future in law to continue the family's tradition in police work, and is asked to participate in a secretive investigation that even his father does not know about.

Tina S I love Blue Bloods, and am a huge fan...but...after watching 3 episodes on Season 13, I am disappointed. The characters seem "tired" (maybe from aging or the facelifts, not sure), and the plots are boring so far. Maybe they have new writers? I think the show has run its course, and should have stopped after Season 12. Tom Selleck is too old for the part he plays, and needs to retire. He has lost his spark, and is no longer believable as a commissioner. With that said, the entire Series has been a great family show and one of the best shows on TV! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/18/24 Full Review elizabeth t I find this season of BB's to be a tasty Friday night treat, rejuvenated with smart writing and even further character development. Erin is still tough, but warmer and more human. Jamie finally in a job that matches his skills and is less of an annoying boy scout. Danny still an old school toughie with a heart of gold, but appealingly time worn and wiser. Even Frank: less lip pursing; more relaxed and considerably more fun.. Episodes are seasoned with humor, but not overdone. The addition of Eddie's long suffering captain was brilliant. Anthony's and Jack's feud is E L Raymond quality. Even the dinner table banter is livelier. Story lines are still relevant and well executed. Give this venerable crime/family drama a "fresh" look. You won't be disappointed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/23 Full Review David A Bluebloods is the only network television show I watch. Typical cop stuff but the characters are believable (mostly). Sometimes the business between Jamie and Eddie becomes tiresome and maybe Eddie steps outside her role as a cop into that of a social worker too much. I understand why they do this in the days of METOO, Defund the Police and so on but still.
