Jasper Rees Daily Telegraph (UK) Crime, comedy, sun, surf - a little bit of everything adds up to a whole lot of not much. Rated: 2/5 Mar 3, 2019 Full Review Carol Midgley Times (UK) Death in Paradise doesn't go big on subtlety or nuance: it goes more for the cheerful-caper-through-tragedy vibe and makes no apology for that. Why should it? It is this safe, comforting formula that keeps viewers watching. Rated: 3/5 Jan 10, 2018 Full Review Jane Rackham Radio Times It's probably the most undemanding piece of entertaining hokum currently on TV: formulaic, charming and whimsical, it's like Midsomer Murders meets Agatha Christie with added sunshine and reggae. But that's not such a bad thing. Mar 3, 2019 Full Review David Butcher Radio Times Death in Paradise rolls back onto our screens like a wave on a golden beach. Not a big, dramatic wave, obviously, but a pleasant ripple of the kind you paddle in. Mar 3, 2019 Full Review

Audience Member There have been character changes throughout the previous six seasons which I have enjoyed very much, however, all the quirkiness, fun and enjoyable characters are been replaced by is a block of wood, sturdy and worst acting of the show ever (Ardal O'Hanlon). I tried to like this season but it was too painful to watch, no joke. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I truly enjoy watching this series! One of the best series on PBS. If your station gets it you should watch. At least this series is appreciated in the UK. I find myself turning off the US big hits to watch series from the UK and enjoying them much more. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Overly formulaic (4 suspects), bad audio for one character every two epsiodes, and easily solved presumptions that supposedely are made by expert investiagators. Occasional epsiodes mix it up, but they became a rarity over the last three series. Fine as a time-watser, but little else. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Post a review
