Definitely wacky, but Doctor Who has never showed away from wacky before. Seeing David Tennant back as the doctor was a treat! The regeneration twist was a fun new idea to play with. Ultimately, I loved it and this special single handedly got me back into watching Who. (I even got my spouse, who was never a doctor who can, to start watching!)
