Previous Lauren Coates Chicago Reader Though the strength of Davies’s writing is inconsistent across the trilogy, the Doctor Who 60th specials are a charming (if indulgent) blast from the past that honors the show’s history while laying the groundwork for an exciting new chapter 3.5/5 Feb 15, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews Next

Previous Bruce P They took a show I love and killed it music and magic and just changed everything okay show but it is not Dr who Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review hartnellsghost The Giggle - well some of us more than giggled when the new Doctor bi-generated in his underpants. Can you imagine the fuss if Jodie first appeared wearing only her bra & knickers???? & we had to giggle during the end scene in Donna's garden where the Tennant Doctor referred to the man in a dress opposite him as his "favourite niece". As there was zero on-screen explanation for that line of dialogue, it seems appropriate to question why it was said, does it not? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/24 Full Review J.R. C It was great to see the Doctor and Donna back again falling right back into their great dynamic. The adventures are fun and interesting. Are they perfect? No. Something's are a little clunky- like the pronoun conversation or the resolution of the metacrisis. But Who has never been perfect. If you aren't trigger by inclusivity they are a thoroughly enjoyable romp! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/24 Full Review Ernst P Nearly 60 years of wonderful story telling hijacked and butchered for what? So a cadre of cynical bitter writers can display to the world all they hate and despise about the generations of people who truly enjoyed this once great show. All this, in the hope of creating a generation of viewers even more bitter and disgusting than they are. How sad.... Farewell my old and dear friend, We will at least have and enjoy the 55 years of episodes lovingly collected for our sharing and viewing. Thank God these creeps can't erase all the wonderful episodes and specials of the past. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/24 Full Review Michael S Fantastic return to form. Loved Jodie, but this has so many elements across so many doctors that this was nothing more than celebratory Doctor Who on form, on point and proving that that whether you go large, go small or go nostalgic there's lots of fun to be had and lots to be said. Yes there were some cringe moments, but show many ANY season of doctor who that doesn't have some and I'd be shocked - and I've watched them all :-) Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/24 Full Review Michael B A life long fan & introduced my son to the genre. We previously shared the enjoyment of watching Dr Who together now even he, in his late teens, has gone off the show due to the poor storytelling. Sadly it lost its way with Jodie and has only gone further downhill. A genuine shame what a waste. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/24 Full Review Read all reviews Next Post a review
