Eliana Dockterman TIME Magazine Heartstopper is an absolute treat, full of delightful touches like Olivia Colman’s small role as Nick’s mum and little animations that punctuate its headiest moments and call back to the scribbly intensity of the comic. Feb 13, 2023 Full Review Tamar Westphal Slate Heartstopper’s focus on the emotional dimensions of relationships allows it to plumb the characters’ interiority, delving into their confusion without leaping to despair. May 11, 2022 Full Review Judy Berman TIME Magazine It’s hard to be a human in the year 2022, and so we all need our little treats. Mine, this past month, was Heartstopper. May 5, 2022 Full Review Tamma Moksha The Hindu A charming, empathetic ode to young queer love. Jun 12, 2024 Full Review Dónal Lynch Sunday Independent (Ireland) In the first outing, adapted with extraordinary skill by Alice Oseman from her own graphic novel... Feb 2, 2024 Full Review Jason Fraley WTOP (Washington, D.C.) I dare you to find a more realistic teen couple than Charlie and Nick, a credit to the actors. Gay and straight viewers will empathize with their journey, cringing when bullies spit homophobic slurs and cheering when relatives show unconditional love. a b The plot seems to be heavily scripted in parts, and suddenly the heterosexuals become outsiders. The characters are wooden, and it seems like they spend hours discussing whether they're allowed to kiss. The actors are around 18 and behave like they're 11. It seems like something out of a textbook for wokies, but unfortunately it has little to do with reality. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/25 Full Review blanca i una serie super fantastica Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/23/24 Full Review Lia C I love this show! It is so wholesome and so realistic regarding what teenagers have to deal with. I binged the show in less than a week and am now rewatching it because there are so many hidden details in the show. As a person that gets stressed out watching things with a lot of conflict and drama, it was nice to watch a teen show where there wasn’t like a lot of drama regarding the main character. I believe that without watching Heartstopper, your life isn’t complete. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/17/24 Full Review vishal H Absolutely perfect series. A great watch for all BL fans. The show is simply beautiful and the cast is charming. Emotions felt so well and the writing is perfect. Don't miss this show at any cost. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/07/24 Full Review Louis S One of the best shows ever created perfect down to ever last detail Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/04/24 Full Review Kari S It was my absolute pleasure to watch well-written YA romance about the lives of the gen z LGBTQIA+.
