Bill Goodykoontz Arizona Republic Sounds silly, but it's actually one of the best new shows of the season, and Diggs is fantastic. Jun 29, 2023 Full Review Belinda Acosta Austin Chronicle As a man who thought he had it all, Kevin Hill has a lot to learn now that he is not the center of his universe. How he makes that journey makes the show eminently watchable. Sep 20, 2019 Full Review Tom Shales Washington Post Kevin Hill may indeed have one of the most outlandish premises of the year. It's so contrived that it could just as well be a parody on Fox's The Mad Show. Sep 20, 2019 Full Review David Zurawik Baltimore Sun [Taye] Diggs' smooth and winning performance reinvigorates the well-worn premise, while his physical grace adds a welcome dimension to the ham-fisted, knucklehead portrayals of masculinity that dominate prime-time TV Sep 20, 2019 Full Review Michael Abernethy PopMatters Compelling tensions emerge in smart writing and [Taye] Diggs' embodiment of a character who is simultaneously naïve and worldly; his befuddlement is as endearing as his macho posturing is amusing. Sep 20, 2019 Full Review Rob Owen Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Kevin Hill is well-written, but tonight's pilot episode would not soar if not for the charismatic Diggs.
