With Apple’s largesse and Ramsay’s TV nous, Knife Edge was always likely to be watchable, and it is. Go to Full Review

This beautifully shot series offers a fascinating real-life parallel to shows like "The Bear." Go to Full Review

Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars shows that getting or retaining a Michelin star is not an endeavor that chefs and owners take lightly, and it gives some new insights into what the Michelin inspectors are actually looking for. Go to Full Review

Immerse me in workplaces to see how a real-life competition works? Yes please! While I can recommend it, I also must note that, like service at a new restaurant, Knife Edge is inconsistent in what it delivers. Go to Full Review

But it too often falls victim to a desire to heap more and more into the series when all we really need – and want – is the chance to watch some brilliant chefs trying their absolute hardest to reach the pinnacle of their profession. Go to Full Review

dave b Nov 26 Parts of it are 5 stars and parts are 1 star. 5-stars: 1. The food. beautiful and amazing. When you see a dish with a 1/2 hour of labor in it, you understand why it is expensive. Food porn at its best. 2. The chefs' dedication and intensity. 3. The insane economics of running a Michelin-class restaurant. 2-stars: 1. Jesse Burgess is knowledgeable but annoying. His style is too much over acting. 1-star: 1. The entire show is an orchestrated Michelin marketing promotion. 2. The "interviews with the inspectors" are completely fake. 3. Not showing the suspected inspectors is absurd as everyone in the restaurant during filming had to sign a release. See more Green C Nov 13 Everyone has unique taste buds. Being a picky eater, I would probably turn my nose up at most of this fare. But it's fascinating to watch how restaurants operate. See more J B Nov 5 Interesting, especially since I find the food fascinating. But the host is so annoying, less close ups of him eating and mindlessly talking and more about the people. Plus he gives no insight, only says HOW GREAT IT ALL TASTES. If there's a season 2 with him I won't watch it. See more Rory M Oct 23 A fun inside into Michelin chasers A fried chicken restaurant adding caviar and truffle to a chicken nugget isn't as out of range as you would think. Very watchable. See more Daniel J. @jacksonlovesmovies Oct 14 I love seeing the chef’s passion and determination, but it’s all so stressful! Having a great dinner in a restaurant with friends or a date is one of my favorite things to do, and I especially love going to restaurants that have earned a Michelin star (or stars). I don’t go for the bragging rights or social media postings, I just enjoy trying something that people have obviously put so much effort into. Even if it turns out not to be my favorite dining experience, I always respect the people behind the plate. This series showcases that beautifully.
