Joel Keller Decider Néro The Assassin has enough action and irreverence, with interesting protagonists and antagonists, to keep viewers engaged, despite a muddy mythology. Robert A Fantastic series 10/10 mark 🔥🔥 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/03/25 Full Review chad D. Do not miss this show! It’s a whole out of the genre fantasy set in an alternate France, the writing is fantastic and characters unique, especially Nero Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/31/25 Full Review Piem V Stilistisch und optisch sehr gut gemacht. Leider reicht es nicht aus, wenn die Geschichte flach ist und wenig Sinn ergibt. Die Charaktere überzeugen kaum, besonders die Einäugige. Viel versprochen wenig geliefert. Schade. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/30/25 Full Review Adam S This started off really well, but ended up making little sense. Some of the character arcs just change wildly without much of a reason, and there’s this huge church wide conspiracy that somehow everyone knows while simultaneously keeping it a huge secret. But the most annoying thing is the overly simplistic Druid/magic/nature worship = good and Christianity = bad. It’s made even worse by the ending, in which ***SPOILERS*** there’s basically a paganized version of Jesus’ death (and resurrection?). It would have made so much more sense to have a nuanced take with both good and bad Christians and incorporate that into the plot—even if you still wanted to have Druid magic save the day. The story would have been more powerful if Perla had actually been a descendant of the devil and people, both Druid and Christian, had to deal with the idea of killing her to save the world. That’s a powerful and intense idea. Instead, we get, “just kidding, there’s no devil, church bad, but limbo is real (which, if we’re going full Druid, at least make it the river Styx or something), and also we need a Christ figure to wrap this thing up and win it for the druids.” And I don't have time to complain about the Penitents, but Rome takes the time to hunt down a single witch while ignoring heretics that are conquering lands? Rome literally raised European crusades over less. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/25/25 Full Review Peter B Looked interesting at the start, but the endless setbacks, failures and frustrations of the team just become tedious and tiresome. The odd success would have been uplifting, but it's a chore to watch. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/23/25 Full Review Minden napra m Strongly disrespect Christianity and other modern religions. It started good, showing cults and the missunderstanding of teaches. But sudenly the whole Christianity is the enemy and we have to feel emphaty with a saman cult woman who want to kill a girl. It was so sad because it had the pitential. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/23/25 Full Review Read all reviews
