Synopsis
Music is an important part of many cultures around the world, but it has a different impact in different places. It often reflects on or reacts to socio-political issues that affect the local culture. On "Noisey," Vice correspondent Zach Goldbaum goes around the world to explore some of the most interesting -- and, in some cases, controversial -- music scenes. In Compton, Calif., where NWA helped start the gangsta rap movement in the 80s, Goldbaum sits down with rapper Kendrick Lamar, who takes on the same issues that plagued Compton more than 20 years ago.
