Daniel D'Addario Variety Repellent and noxiously loud, “Paul American” confuses volume -- ostentatiousness, relentlessness, shamelessness -- for star quality, in precisely the same way YouTube culture does. Mar 27, 2025 Full Review Emma Stefansky The Daily Beast A series on Max gives an air of prestige that YouTube and other short-form platforms lack, but that doesn’t mean a show like Paul American is as utterly fascinating as its subjects would like you to believe. It’s a compelling curiosity, nonetheless. Jun 11, 2025 Full Review Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media This obnoxious series features Jake and Logan Paul constantly self-promoting and aggrandizing themselves every chance they get. Apr 2, 2025 Full Review Joel Keller Decider We don’t need more Paul bothers content, and Paul American really doesn’t give enough insight into Jake and Logan’s lives to make us want to keep watching. ARPIT M The show is honestly embarrassing. A masterclass in how hate fuels fame. The Paul brothers survive on outrage, not originality, eating dirt daily and calling it content. Paul American proves you don’t need self-respect to stay relevant, just reach. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/02/25 Full Review Paw S I love this series!! Jake and Jutta are the best. What a love story Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/27/25 Full Review Kaelyn B I genuinely loved it. It makes you really dive in to their lives and being able to see the family dynamic and I love watching the relationships between Jake and Jutta and Logan and Nina. I want season 2!! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/21/25 Full Review Sydney F If you like reality tv, this is a good watch. It’s not over the top drama like other reality tv shows, but it gives an interesting insight into the lives of the Paul brothers and their family. Although many people can’t stand the brothers, it’s hard to deny that they’re entertaining. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/21/25 Full Review Jacob H I started watching Logan on Theo Von's Podcast, Tim Dillon & Logan Paul | This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von #228 , which led me to watch some of his old content, which is horrible. But skip all that and go to when he fought KSI for the first time and its all good from there. If you like Jackass for Viva la Bam you should definitely watch. This HBO show is just an elevated version of those youtube vlogs and its great. These two doofus kids from Ohio have taken over the world in their own ways and it's fascinating to watch. I love the show and highly recommend it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/20/25 Full Review Emily P I actually really enjoyed this first season, I think sometimes the, “sporty” stuff can be boring but the behind the scenes before and after a fight can be very raw and interesting to watch. Most of the time you see Jake and Logan Paul they are noticeably scripted within their own channels and social medias. I find them very entertaining either way typically because they are both great showmen. But I prefer this more uncontrolled version of them, where they are expected to be vulnerable and honest, to show how they are in a more natural way. It’s so refreshing to see them as more than just influential celebrities, but as men who live interesting and complicated lives, who go through trauma and can cry about things that hurt them, and to acknowledge pain publicly and show that aren’t just successful men, they are human with beautiful human qualities pain and all included.
