Bizarre things start happening in the little New Mexico town where UFOs were spotted in 1947. Cut to 1999, when a cute high-school student saves the life of a teenage waitress. Surrounded by cliques of clever, angst-filled classmates, the two form a bond that threatens the survival of a secret universe involving superhuman powers, a yen for hot sauce and an alien gene pool.

Rob Owen Pittsburgh Post-Gazette "Roswell" developed into an enjoyable alien soap opera last season. You'd tune in and never quite know what you'd get... [This premiere] isn't one of the show's finest hours, but it's a serviceable start to the season. May 4, 2019 Full Review Terry Kelleher People Magazine There were signs that viewers weren't intended to take all this too seriously, but I started to suspect that Roswell had simply ceased believing in itself. jon c It's the 3rd and final season of the original WB teen soap opera sci-fi series The last 18 episodes have the creators try to wrap up the storylines for aliens Max, Isabel, Michael and for humans Liz, Maria, Kyle and Sheriff Valenti Last season another alien named Tess joined the ranks hoping to rekindle the bond she and Max originally shared on their homeworld, Alex was killed after discovering new information on them how to get home and was mind warped by Tess, Tess got pregnant but her child couldn't survive on earth's atmosphere so she had to leave and Max stayed behind feeling the betrayal, Isabel wanted her own freedom so she applied to a college hoping to leave Roswell, Michael and Maria cemented their relationship officially, Liz had a hard time imagining a life without Max romantically Here we pick up a few months after; Isabel has a job, newcomer Adam Rodriguez joins the cast as Jesse, Liz and Max get arrested taking a diamond and holding up a convenience store but another alien ship is discovered too during their running from the law Liz is kept now on a very tight leash from Max, Isabel and Jesse are romantically linked, Michael has a job working as a security guard Joe Pantoliano guest stars as a big time movie producer and Max figures he can get some intel if he goes undercover Isabel gets engaged but strange dreams are occurring Another shock is that Max's father and Liz's father are investigating all the strange occurrences which could be bad as it might put them in danger Maria is re-discovering her passion for music but it might mean leaving Roswell and Michael behind Liz is also going through a strange transformation after being healed from Max, she figures the only way is to go off to boarding school But another shady group of people want to use Max for his healing abilities but it costs too much Almost everyone is finding out about Max, Michael and Isabel so drastic measures might have to be taken The series finale leads to the government attempting to wipe everyone out feeling they're a threat to national security; maybe there's a chance our heroes can make it out unscathed, graduate, and be free The secret of the aliens has been hidden up to a point so now it's a matter of whether or not everyone leaves or stays This was definitely was the best season of the whole show as the stakes continued to rise to their highest, the relationships grew heavier, and more mysteries of the aliens began to unravel Max, Isabel, and Michael have had a long hard road keeping together and at the same time losing a lot in the process keeping their true origins hidden Liz, Maria, Kyle, and Valenti have been a great small group of individuals balancing the craziness of their normal lives with the extraterrestrial elements Everything from powers to spacecrafts to government officials to letting loved ones in to losing people around them has all lead to this This original version of ‘Roswell' proved to be a interesting take mixing teenage drama with paranormal phenomena with some decent enough actors A bittersweet goodbye has a lot of changes take place, it's been a long, strange but beautiful trip ‘Thank you for visiting Roswell' indeed If you don't enjoy the current CW ‘Roswell: New Mexico' then this will always be a good enough take on the material to go back to Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
