When issues arise in certain Boston neighborhoods, they are dealt with in unique ways. "Saint Hoods" takes viewers inside a centuries-old turf war involving three of Boston's most powerful crews -- Southie, Roslindale, and Dorchester -- as they compete for leverage in Beantown's underworld. While they each vie for customers in the lucrative business of sports gambling, the constant battle for power extends far beyond just taking bets. Led by the notorious Pat Nee -- famed for his disagreements with gangster Whitey Bulger -- Southie is the largest and most powerful crew in Boston. Roslindale is the upstart crew and looking for ways to challenge Southie's reign, while the Dorchester gang would like to keep its independent status instead of picking a Southie or Rozzie ally. Discovery was afforded unprecedented access to film the series, but the network also makes the disclaimer that some identifying information and property has been changed and some scenes have been dramatized.
