Sherlock Holmes is out of his comfort zone, mysteriously unable to investigate a sinister case without risking the lives of his closest friends. Then enters young American Amelia. After her mother's mysterious murder, she learns her missing father may be the legendary detective. Despite wildly different backgrounds and attitudes, the pair must work together to solve a global conspiracy, crack her mother's murder and find out for sure if she really is Sherlock's daughter.

Susan B I've been excited about this new take on a classic since I heard it was coming out. Sherlock & Daughter does not disappoint. I really like the idea that Sherlock may or may not have a daughter from the U.S. and can't wait to see how that storyline plays out. More than that, though, it's good to see Amelia (the maybe daughter) push back and defy Sherlock in the way a daughter would. I think the best versions of Sherlock Holmes stories paint Sherlock as a brilliant man who needs someone to question him every now and then to keep him in check and Sherlock & Daughter does just that. I'm a binge watcher so I waited until I could watch the first three episodes back to back and now I'm hooked. I can't wait to see what happens next.
