Sherlock Holmes is out of his comfort zone, mysteriously unable to investigate a sinister case without risking the lives of his closest friends. Then enters young American Amelia. After her mother's mysterious murder, she learns her missing father may be the legendary detective. Despite wildly different backgrounds and attitudes, the pair must work together to solve a global conspiracy, crack her mother's murder and find out for sure if she really is Sherlock's daughter.

Elisha I Decent mystery with some fun twists, but the acting’s a bit clunky and the pacing can drag. Has its moments, but doesn’t fully live up to the Sherlock name. Part of this is on the screenwriters and director, who let her go with a super-chick know-it-all schtick, but most fault lies with the actress herself, whose facial expresions lacked breadth or depth. Otherwise, this is a fun series, with story-telling techniques that move it right along, and a host of actors that put you right in period London---until Hunt enters the scence.
