Male characters are repeatedly framed as clumsy, emotionally behind, or in need of correction, while female characters are calmer, more competent, and morally "ahead." It’s not overt hostility - it’s soft misandry: boys are allowed to exist, but rarely to lead, be right first, or succeed through decisive action. For young boys, this matters. Early stories shape self-image. When initiative, confidence, and risk-taking are consistently dampened or reassigned, boys learn to shrink themselves. Star Wars once inspired courage. This version teaches boys to ask permission.
