Synopsis
Aarti Sequeira travels the globe in this series not only to taste popular dishes from around the world but also to explore the history and cultural significance behind each one. Each episode features a different theme -- such as birthday treats, and portable foods -- that takes Sequeira on a global journey to learn about the role each food plays locally -- such as a symbolic spicy soup served for birthdays in China. Among the discoveries she makes are America's No. 1 birthday dish and the most popular dinner for a first date in Thailand.
