I do admire that Adi Shankar was able to get a passion project made, even if it tends to be overly self-indulgent. Go to Full Review

This ambitious but generally unpleasant hybrid show feels simultaneously like a Watchmen rip-off, a bad Ralph Bakshi animation, and a series of skippable video game cutscenes. Go to Full Review

The Guardians of Justice (Will Save You) is a pastiche and an homage: it’s action and comedy, it’s live-action and animated, it’s magnificent trash that is frenetic and, in the end, surprisingly thoughtful. Go to Full Review

Guardians of Justice gleefully snipes at all things superhero even as it riffles through twentieth century history and pop culture ephemera to concoct its absurdist world. Go to Full Review

There are more than a few interesting ideas at play here, but Guardians of Justice occasionally comes across as style over substance. Go to Full Review

Kuba K @RT66581974 04/11/2024 Fun, enjoyable, unstable See more Scuba S @RT48696983 12/06/2023 Someone described this show as a series of unskipable video game cut scenes and I couldn't agree more. Everything about this is so cheap it is honestly impressive... for the first episode and a half before it becomes irritating. See more Some Guy F @RT75171520 08/21/2023 Painful to watch. There's a lot of good knock-off Justice League stories out there, but this is not one of them. See more Al N @RT02258810 07/25/2023 It's definately a weird one. Fortunately I am a sucker for this kind of weirdness. It switches from grim and gritty colorful 80's dystopian neon lights, to 16 bit animations, rotoscope, to claymation and much more. It's stand ins for most mainstream superheroes are actually fun and well acted with sincerity. It has a lot of twist and turns but they don't really feel forced. All and all, a great time to be had. It is very dark though, and not just in the lighting. Thankfully it does'nt devolve into a pretencious and weak "Watchman" parody "dEcOnStRuCtIoN". Instead, it's just a really bleak story with superheroes. One could say it's juvenile and they would be right, but that's actually it's charm. It's like the DC Snyderverse if the DC Snyderverse actually managed to be fun. I'm not holding my breath but I would like to see more from Adi Shankar and this weird little Bootleg Universe. See more Akbar B @RT04735314 02/13/2023 Different take on Superhero genre. Quite enjoyable. See more Enol J @RT97484653 02/08/2023 In a world oversaturated with superheros' adaptations, this is an experience unique! Deliberately, fulfilled with thrilling plots, interesting characters and different art styles, the tv show is a love letter to the superhero pop culture. Adi Shankar has created a really grounbreaking product! See more Read all reviews
