Inkoo Kang The New Yorker Apple’s glossy experiment in prestige melodrama is utterly baffling—and must-watch TV. Nov 28, 2023 Full Review Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) Amidst the rhetorical flourishes Jon Hamm joins the cast as a tech titan tinkering with broadcast television -- it’s a role that barely challenges the Mad Men star, but he’s so good at it. Oct 12, 2023 Full Review Richard Lawson Vanity Fair The Morning Show remains one of the most bizarrely interesting programs on TV, a tonal mess that is nonetheless richly entertaining. Oct 5, 2023 Full Review Susan Granger SSG Syndicate As show-runner Charlotte Stout catapulted it into the modern-day media crisis era, it's become a major contender in the 2024 Drama Series Emmy race - with 16 nominations. Rated: 8/10 Jul 20, 2024 Full Review Valentina Morillo El Español (Spain) This show has predictable storylines, adorned with dialogue that borders on the ridiculous 90% of the time. But the actors elevate the material by walking a fine line between solemnity and self-awareness, making it deeply entertaining and addictive. Dec 15, 2023 Full Review Shawn Edwards Fox 4 Kansas City As the show attempts to add its perspective on current-day events and issues, it really doesn't work. But it's average viewing. Jonathan H This show started off fun, interesting and full of energy, but then degenerated into some really nonsensical, pretentious territory. For an alleged "news" station, most of these characters are shallow, arrogant and ethically myopic, even though they are supposedly truth-seekers. What they really mean is that they all want to parrot their own "truth" or that they are willing to compromise. Blah. Boring, predictable, sad. But maybe that's supposed to be a realistic look at our numerous, broken, one-sided "news" outlets today, as some kind of flippant self-criticism? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/08/25 Full Review Iain M Curse you, the morning show, a fantastic series until the last episode which was finished off with an utterly implausible denoument. How very dare you. The amount of stuff Alex Levy had to do in what could only have been 12 hours was ridiculous - we suddenly went from deepky engaging drame...to farce. I feel that despite the brilliance of the actors (not a bad one amongst the entire cast) and 99% of the storyline and dialogue, there is still an element of maturing being undertaken. The writers seem to still be finding their feet, not all of the time, it is as if they are running over an endless zebra crossing with a dodgy torch. Just every now and again a jarring line, the nonsense of pe1 and ep2 of series 2, and this final episode of series 3. Such a shame because if they could cure these blips, then they might just have the best TV series of the 21st century, certainly in the top 5. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/09/24 Full Review Rebekah H I enjoyed seasons 1 and 2; however, season 3 was absolutely terrible. The acting and production level is aspiring, but the plot was awful. The storyline is an outlet for far-leftwing writers to virtue signal and push their worldview on their viewers, and it's not subtle at all. People turn to entertainment to be entertained, not lectured. The show was great before political narratives were central to the script. Season 3 feels like an HR department created it to lecture employees about "microaggressions." Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/17/24 Full Review EllieAN 1 First 2 seasons were great. Season 3 took a noise drive. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/27/24 Full Review Olivier C One of the best shows on tv. Probably not for conservatives though… Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Jason R Another show for extreme left leaning writers to take advantage of spreading their ideals. This has become a serious issue within these streaming shows. These shows should be an escape; not a cult message. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/14/24 Full Review Read all reviews
