Shania Twain survived a childhood of poverty and overcame the loss of both parents at an early age to become a country music superstar who first gained worldwide fame in the mid-'90s. A decade later, Twain's music career came to a halt because of personal problems, including the end of her 14-year marriage. But Twain is ready for a comeback, which is documented by this reality show. The series follows the Canadian-born singer as she begins her climb back to the top. She sets out on a tour of healing, sharing and rediscovering her voice, returning to her childhood home on the journey. During her cross-country adventure, Twain meets with vocal coaches and a grief counselor, and she also meets with people who have experienced similar hardships in their lives. Shania also has intimate conversations with music industry veterans, including Gladys Knight and Lionel Richie.
