Joel Keller Decider The writers and animators of WondLa do a good job of bringing Tony DiTerlizzi’s vision of an evolved Earth to life, and the voice cast is able to make the show funny and accessible to adults as well as kids. Jul 2, 2024 Full Review Preston Barta Fresh Fiction Filled with imagination, wonder and great characters, 'WondLa' asks big questions about humanity and our environment that are terrific for all ages. Jul 2, 2024 Full Review Chase Hutchinson IGN Movies WondLa follows the broad strokes of Tony DiTerlizzi’s The Search for WondLa, though it sands off the novel’s rougher textures in favor of filler episodes that play it far too safe and lose sight of what should be an emotionally engaging core. Rated: 5/10 Jul 1, 2024 Full Review Peter Martin EverythingButHorror.com An easy watch, delightful with a bit of intrigue, especially for younger viewers. It's likely that any thinking adult will be able to guess the outcome of every adventure ... the gorgeous animation provides pleasant eye candy for weekend viewing Rated: 2.5/5.0 Jun 27, 2024 Full Review Elijah Gonzalez Paste Magazine Even well-rendered animation can’t save it from a nagging familiarity compared to dozens of other family-friendly films and shows hitting identical plot beats. Rated: 5.4/10 Jun 24, 2024 Full Review Tim Stevens The Spool Similar design elements are typically easy to accept for this critic, provided the story utilizing them offers enough to chew on. It is here that WondLa truly stumbles. Jun 24, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Steven Z I think overall, the story was translated pretty well from the books to screen. The animation and visuals look breathtaking for a tv series production. I've had numerous nieces, nephews and friends children that love it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/24/24 Full Review Peter K As a longtime huge fan of the original novels, the first season absolutely delivered everything I was hoping for. It captures the major points of the novel. The animation is incredible in every sense (it looks great and the characters’ visual behaviors are excellent), the voice acting is exceptional, and the score is awesome. I wasn’t a huge fan of Muthr’s redesign when I saw the trailer but it had quickly grown on me by the end of the first episode. I don’t think the show seems childish or overly dumbed down compared to the books—it seems very accessible to kids and to adults. I really have no complaints! Can’t wait for the next season. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/24/24 Full Review Nyx Nox N Really loved it, thought it had great plot, a little childish at times but good animation, interesting characters and room to grow. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/20/24 Full Review Michael M What a wonderful journey so far! With a green light for two seasons, Wandla has truly captured my attention. The first seven episodes serve as a fantastic introduction and set the stage for an exciting story. The animation is simply breathtaking, and the overall storytelling is both enjoyable and engaging. It's a show that can be enjoyed by the whole family, as it is easy for younger audiences to follow while still offering enough complexity to keep older viewers intrigued. Although I wish there was a bit more content, if that's my only disappointment, then it's still a win in my book. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/18/24 Full Review Jessica O Vey charming and engaging with great sound design and beautiful animation; the story is told well without any drag in the pace at all and it was a very enjoyable watch. A really great family show; suitable for kids and not boring for adults. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/08/24 Full Review Read all reviews
