      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

The hunter becomes prey in You's London-set fourth season, which shows some wear as this premise begins to outlive its believability -- but Penn Badgley's sardonic performance continues to paper over most lapses in logic.

James Jackson Times (UK) Yes, this is all still knowingly absurd, and a very slickly done guilty pleasure. Mar 18, 2023 Full Review Leila Latif Guardian This hottest of televisual messes is impossible to resist Rated: 5/5 Mar 15, 2023 Full Review CT Jones Rolling Stone While Season Four of You manages to stick its bingeable landing, it’s easy to notice that Badgley seems weary of his role. And while the energy served him well this time, another year with Joe Goldberg might be a step too far. Mar 9, 2023 Full Review Peter Kohnke We Got This Covered Despite the drastic shift in premise and setting, 'You' Season 4 manages to preserve the identity and elements of the show that enamored fans in the first place, even if certain developments and motivations occasionally get a little too far-fetched. Rated: 4/5 Sep 2, 2023 Full Review Mini Anthikad-Chhibber The Hindu Ludicrous does not begin to describe Part 2 of Season 4 of You, which continues to stay on the side of absurd fun by the skin of its teeth Aug 27, 2023 Full Review Alison de Souza The Straits Times (Singapore) Half the fun comes from feeling out the suspects, who in this cross section of London high society includes brazen social media influencers and shallow aristocrats. Quentin S It isn´t the first season but although I enjoy it! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/09/24 Full Review Mafer G Entretenida, medio creepy y lograron captar mi atención en esta 4ta entrega. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/24/24 Full Review Chloe R My favorite guilty pleasures haha. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/24 Full Review Forged S Season 4 thankfully opted to drop the Dexter-like serial killer antics, of the previous two seasons and return to the introspective character study of the first season. However, the showrunners must've been watching Mr. Robot when writing this season because there's a switch midway through the season that (not giving away any spoilers) feels awkward and unearned. Not sure what their aversion is to the character they've created. The "stalker" persona is grounds for unique stories rarely told. Again, this wasn't a bad season, I just was hoping for something... more. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/10/24 Full Review Danial Shoe got so bad after season 2 Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/02/24 Full Review Rachel K This season was the worst of the bunch. Here's my ranking of the seasons: 1, 3, 2, 4. The first season is the best. It's original, new, thrilling, and something I could rewatch and never get bored of. The third season was a breath of fresh air that reminded me of the first season. Two amazing actors, Penn and Love's actor, did so good in their performances and although it was hard to like the whole "moving to LA" thing, it was a really good season full of amazing acting! Not much to say about Season 2, I barely payed attention... But season 4 takes the cake for being the worst season. The series has officially been drawn out. You'd think the writers would tie up the loose ends from the past (For example: the P.I. from s1, the piss jar he left in peaches house, the bodies he left??, all the evidence, etc.) But they don't do that. AND they don't build on what they were doing in s3. SO FRUSTURATING!!! Like why do they keep trying to "start new", and Joe has become completely unlikeable. I hate how he keeps getting away with things, the show has become unrealistic. AND THEY DONT EVEN END THE SHOW? Also, the new characters were so fucking annoying and unlikable too. Who hired these writers?? Did they even have any memory of the past seasons?? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
