What to Know

Critics Consensus

The hunter becomes prey in You's London-set fourth season, which shows some wear as this premise begins to outlive its believability -- but Penn Badgley's sardonic performance continues to paper over most lapses in logic.

James Jackson The Times (UK) Yes, this is all still knowingly absurd, and a very slickly done guilty pleasure. Mar 18, 2023 Full Review Leila Latif Guardian This hottest of televisual messes is impossible to resist Rated: 5/5 Mar 15, 2023 Full Review CT Jones Rolling Stone While Season Four of You manages to stick its bingeable landing, it’s easy to notice that Badgley seems weary of his role. And while the energy served him well this time, another year with Joe Goldberg might be a step too far. Mar 9, 2023 Full Review Archi Sengupta LeisureByte.com You season 4 part 2 is enjoyable but leaves much to be desired in the grand scheme of things. Rated: 3.5/5 Jul 8, 2024 Full Review Peter Kohnke We Got This Covered Despite the drastic shift in premise and setting, 'You' Season 4 manages to preserve the identity and elements of the show that enamored fans in the first place, even if certain developments and motivations occasionally get a little too far-fetched. Rated: 4/5 Sep 2, 2023 Full Review Mini Anthikad-Chhibber The Hindu Ludicrous does not begin to describe Part 2 of Season 4 of You, which continues to stay on the side of absurd fun by the skin of its teeth Aug 27, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

KerryWhite's S 8/10. 81/100. | Started the first episode anyway, with Lexi Perkins. We both hadn’t watched Season 4 yet. She weirdly said Joe reminded her of me or vice versa. 👀 Mainly in looks she said but oof lol. I know it wasn’t meant to be a bad thing but still 😅 We dozed off though halfway through and only got mostly finished before I turned it off and went to sleep with her. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/25/25 Full Review Emma D The plot holes, the absurdity.. I realise it's a fictional television programme, but come on! It's lost all plausibility. The decline since season 2 has been a steep one. Disappointing. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/07/25 Full Review Agubata S Almost lost the plot. Seems like they brought in a totally different set of writers. But hang on tho, season 5 would remind why you started the show 👌 Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/07/25 Full Review Noe H Probably my least favorite season, I love the cast just seems like the story was a bit out there with this one. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/22/25 Full Review Audience Member The weakest season of you, but also the craziest, since the story turns so drastically throughout the season (which I kinda liked). I absolutely loved the dinner episode, the clue episode of the season. It was reminiscent of the episode in season 1 with the urine. Just one location and characters interacting with each other. This is absolutely perfect for "You". But, I do not completely buy the romance, the same issue I had with season 1. Sure the relationship is serviceable, but I don't think "You" ever really captured the sense of "the one" like with Love. Not just that, but also the chemistry and charisma of Victoria Pedretti previously is immaculate, and you'd really have to go above and beyond to find someone even better than her. You'd need a name. That being said it's a fun season with some great moments, some very silly moments, but I don't mind since I don't expect the show to be critically unbreakable. There is a suspension of disbelief in shows like "You". I had a great time, though. Thank you!!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/14/25 Full Review Amy D Slowest season in my opinion, definitely not as engaging till towards the end. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/12/25 Full Review Read all reviews
