Catherine Hessling
Alluring redhead who modeled for impressionist painter Auguste Renoir before appearing in the early films of his son, director Jean Renoir (to whom she was married until the early 1930s). Hessling was acclaimed for her performance in "Nana" (1926), Renoir's fine adaptation of the Zola novel, and appeared in several films by Alberto Cavalcanti.
