British actor Cyril Luckham made a name for himself on the big screen. Luckham began his acting career with roles in such films as "How to Murder a Rich Uncle" (1958) with Nigel Patrick, the dramatic adaptation "Billy Budd" (1962) with Terence Stamp and the dramatic adaptation "The Pumpkin Eater" (1964) with Anne Bancroft. He also appeared in "The Alphabet Murders" (1965) with Tony Randall and "A Man For All Seasons" (1966) with Paul Scofield. His film career continued throughout the sixties and the seventies in productions like the Frank Sinatra thrilling adaptation "The Naked Runner" (1967), the dramatic adaptation "Anne of the Thousand Days" (1969) with Richard Burton and the Sammy Davis Jr. crime mystery "One More Time" (1970). He also appeared in the drama "Mr. Forbush and the Penguins" (1971) with John Hurt. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Forsyte Saga" (PBS, 1969-1970). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "The Potting Shed" (CBS, 1981-82). Luckham last acted on "Barchester Chronicles" (PBS, 1984). Luckham passed away in February 1989 at the age of 82.
