DaBaby
DaBaby, born Jonathan Lyndale Kirk on December 22, 1991, in Cleveland, Ohio, is a prominent American rapper and songwriter. Raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, he initially pursued a career in music while working various odd jobs to support himself. He released his first mixtape, "Nonfiction" (2015), using the stage name Baby Jesus. After releasing several more mixtapes and changing his stage name to DaBaby, his breakthrough arrived in 2019 with his debut album "Baby on Baby," which featured the hit single "Suge." His quick rise continued with "Kirk" (2019), his second album, which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. These successes led to collaborations with some of the hottest musicians at the time including Post Malone, Lizzo, and Lil Nas X. His third album, "Blame It on Baby" (2020) was nominated for a Grammy and featured the hit song "Rockstar." DaBaby's career hasn't been without controversy. His candid and sometimes controversial remarks have sparked debates, leading to discussions about the responsibilities of artists and the impact of their words. Despite this, he remained a dominant force in the industry. His fourth studio album "Baby on Baby 2" was released in September 2022. In addition to releasing albums, DaBaby founded a record label, Billion Dollar Baby Entertainment, in 2017 with the intention of discovering future rap stars.
