I have not watched a film or tv show so perfect in a long time. This show actually inspires hope in Hollywood returning to real story with depth. You wont see the shock and awww over the top hyper sexuality or violence in this story, but what you will see is a captivating real life feeling of pearing into the window of first love something many have experienced and charrish. This story and the emotional intelligence is palpable. They take no short cuts. The writing, acting, cinematography, music and editing is 10/10. The journey of a deep first love narrated through classism, sociopolitical realities and the delicate dance of parenthood was executed in perfect balance to reflect real life pressure of being young in a complicated world. Every character is real and honest. All the performers keep you engaged in a way that is positive and hold social value. Thank you for breaking stereo typical Hollywood manufactured "black characters and life images" Thank you for showing the nuances of our community. Mara Brock Akil is truly a joy—I'm a lifelong fan of her work, and Forever is no exception. The cast, the pacing, and the storytelling are all excellent. Every time Karen Pittman is on screen, I’m moved to tears. She brings such depth to her role as a protective (if slightly “cray cray”!) mom, and I absolutely love it. Justin’s dynamic with his family is another highlight—it feels real, warm, and layered. DISGUSTING. like who wrote this show??? FIRE THEM IMMEDIATELY !!!!! never watching this again. this show literally has no deeper plot. it’s the same “make-up” “break-up” continuation storyline. the only eye catching thing about this show is the soundtrack. that’s completely it. a match made in hell. thank you.
