After the tepid response to his first album, 1990's "Forever Everlasting," Everlast put an abrupt end to his short-lived solo career. He was only 21, however, and wanted to continue making music. So he reunited with a friend from high school, Danny Boy, who also had an interest in music. Together, along with DJ Lethal, the trio formed the hip-hop group House of Pain. The group's self-titled debut, 1992's "House of Pain," went on to sell millions of copies, while spawning the hit dance single, "Jump Around." House of Pain would go on to release two more albums in the mid-1990s, and tour with bands like the Beastie Boys and Rage Against the Machine, before breaking up in 1996. Now with the freedom to make the music he wanted to make, Everlast once again embarked on a solo career. In 1998 he released his second solo album, "Whitey Ford Sings the Blues," which sold three million copies and spawned the chart topping single "What It's Like." Everlast released a third solo album in 2000, "Eat at Whitey's," but the album was both a commercial and critical disappointment. In 2006 Everlast reunited with the former members of House of Pain to form the hip-hop supergroup, La Coka Nostra. The group released one album, 2009's "A Band You Can Trust." In 2007 Everlast was also chosen to write the theme music for the crime drama, "Saving Grace," which ran for three seasons on TNT and also acted in two episodes.
