Guy A. Lepage
Guy A. Lepage used his gift of gab, wry humor, and perfect timing to establish a long and successful career as an actor-writer-director in his native Canada. Born on Aug. 30, 1960 in Montréal, Québec, Lepage was one of the founding members of the comedy group Rock et Belles Oreilles, which parodied popular Canadian commercials, television shows and films, as well as impersonated politicians and celebrities. After the group disbanded in the mid-1990s, Lepage created the hit comedy series "Un gars, une fille" ("A guy, a Girl") (Radio-Canada, 1997), featuring vignettes of an ordinary couple going about their daily life. Aside from acting, Lepage was also a prolific writer; he often wrote for shows in which he appeared such as the New Year's countdown and sketch comedy "Bye-Bye" (Radio-Canada, 1968-2011). He kept the laughs coming as host of the talk show "Tout le monde en parle" (Radio-Canada, 2004). Lepage appeared in several feature films like "Camping sauvage" (2004), where he portrayed an investment broker forced into a witness protection program, the romantic comedy "Les aimants" (2004), and "Idole instantanée" (2005). In 2010, Lepage appeared in the action-comedy "L'appât" ("The Bait") as a lieutenant who is unknowingly used as bait in a murder investigation. He starred in "L'Empire Bo$$é" (2012), a mockumentary following the career of an unscrupulous business tycoon who becomes one of the richest men in the world.
