Jimmy McHugh produced music that was featured in many Hollywood productions. McHugh began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like the Robert Montgomery adaptation "Love in the Rough" (1930) and "Meet the Baron" (1933). He followed this honor with songs in "Banjo on My Knee" (1936). He was nominated for an Academy Award for "Roberta" in 1935. . McHugh was nominated for a Music (Song) Academy Award for "That Certain Age" in 1938 as well as for a Music (Song) Academy Award for "You'll Find Out" in 1940. McHugh was also credited in "Micki & Maude" (1984), "The Cotton Club" with Richard Gere (1984) and "Miss Mary" with Julie Christie (1986). He also was recognized in "Vamp" (1986) starring Chris Makepeace. McHugh's music was most recently featured in the Bradley Cooper dramatic adaptation "Serena" (2015). McHugh passed away in May 1969 at the age of 75.
