John Moore
Irish film director John Moore first rose to prominence when he was asked to direct the war film, "Behind Enemy Lines" (2001), based on his track record of directing high-octane, effects-driven, youth-oriented TV commercials. He followed up his big break by directing several remakes including "The Omen" (2006). The dramatic, loquacious, larger-than-life director with the red beard became known around Hollywood as a fiery personality on-set, but his status as a significant filmmaker remained to be seen, with the mixed reviews and lackluster ticket sales of his first three outings.
