John Paragon
John Paragon was an actor who graced the silver screen many times throughout his Hollywood career. Paragon had an early acting career in film, appearing in such titles as "Cheech & Chong's Next Movie" (1980) with Cheech Marin, "Pandemonium" (1982) and "Eating Raoul" (1982) with Paul Bartel. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "The Pee-wee Herman Show" (HBO, 1981-82) and "The Fact" (CBS, 1982-83). Paragon also provided his talents as a voice actor for "Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo" (ABC, 1979-1986). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the comedy adventure "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure" (1985) with Paul Reubens, the Susan Dey comedy "Echo Park" (1986) and the Elvira comedy "Elvira, Mistress of the Dark" (1988). He also appeared in the comedy "UHF" (1989) with Weird Al Yankovic. Paragon had a number of different projects under his belt in the nineties, including "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid" (1992), "Ring of the Musketeers" with David Hasselhoff (1993) and "Twin Sitters" with David Paul (1995). His credits also expanded to "It's My Party" (1996) and "The Rich Man's Wife" (1996) starring Halle Berry. Paragon most recently appeared in "The Pee-wee Herman Show on Broadway" (HBO, 2010-11). John Paragon died in April of 2021 of unknown causes.
