Josephine Whittell

Josephine Whittell was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Whittell kickstarted her acting career in various films such as "Marie, Ltd." (1919), "Caught Plastered" (1931) and "Symphony of Six Million" (1932). She also appeared in "It's a Gift" (1934) with W C Fields, "The Life of Vergie Winters" (1934) and "Jealousy" (1934). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like "Beware of Ladies" (1937), "Larceny on the Air" (1937) and "Women Are Like That" (1937). She also appeared in the comedy sequel "Tugboat Annie Sails Again" (1940) with Marjorie Rambeau. In the latter half of her career, she continued to act in the comedy "Having Wonderful Crime" (1945) with Pat O'Brien, the Van Johnson remake "Easy to Wed" (1946) and "Affairs of Geraldine" (1946). She also appeared in "The Accused" (1949) and "Adventure in Baltimore" (1949). Whittell more recently acted in the comedic drama "Forever Female" (1953) with Ginger Rogers. Whittell passed away in June 1961 at the age of 78.
