Beloved child actor Larry Block started his entertainment career at the tender age of 11. Known for making audiences laugh, Block began his acting career in comedies like "Slap Shot" (1977) starring Paul Newman, the Warren Beatty film "Heaven Can Wait" (1978) and the Griffin Dunne film "After Hours" (1985). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Sesame Street" (Thirteen/WNET, 1969-2015). His film career continued throughout the eighties and the nineties in productions like "Cocktail" (1988), "Betsy's Wedding" (1990) and the comedy "My Blue Heaven" (1990) with Steve Martin. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Bette Midler comedic adaptation "Isn't She Great" (2000), the Michael Douglas action picture "Don't Say A Word" (2001) and the Saffron Burrows drama "The Guitar" (2008). Block was most recently credited in the comedy "Hellbenders" (2013) with Clifton Collins Jr.. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-). Block passed away in October 2012 at the age of 70.
