Michael Wilbon
Michael Ray Wilbon entered the world on November 19, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois. He became known to millions as Mike Wilbon, lauded sportswriter, popular television host and respected studio analyst. Wilbon grew up on Chicago's rough-and-tumble South Side, a portion of the city portrayed darkly in Richard Wright's 1940 novel Native Son. Wilbon attended high school at St. Ignatius College Preparatory, and then enrolled at nearby Northwestern University in 1976. He earned his degree from the Medill School of Journalism in 1980.
