Nathaniel Shilkret

Nathaniel Shilkret worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Shilkret worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Swing Time" with Fred Astaire (1936), "That Girl From Paris" with Lily Pons (1936) and "The Big Game" (1936). He also contributed to "The Last of the Mohicans" (1936), "The Smartest Girl in Town" (1936) and "Walking on Air" (1936). In the thirties and the forties, Shilkret also worked on "Winterset" with Burgess Meredith (1936). Shilkret's music was also featured in the Stan Laurel comedy "Air Raid Wardens" (1943), "Blonde Fever" (1944) and "Three Men in White" (1944). His music was also featured in "Nothing But Trouble" (1945) and the William Powell drama "The Hoodlum Saint" (1946). Shilkret's music was most recently used in the documentary "Wild Man Blues" (1998) with Woody Allen. Shilkret passed away in February 1982 at the age of 93.
