Nicholas Phipps
Nicholas Phipps was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Phipps worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Adam and Evelyne" (1949) starring Stewart Granger, "Old Bill and Son" (1940) starring Gus McNaughton and "Piccadilly Incident" (1946). He kept working in film throughout the fifties and the sixties, starring in the Michael Ripper drama "The Intruder" (1955), the comedy "The Iron Petticoat" (1956) with Bob Hope and "Doctor at Large" (1957). He also appeared in the drama "Orders to Kill" (1958) with Eddie Albert and the adventure sequel "Pure Hell of St. Trinian's" (1960) with Cecil Parker. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the comedy "Heavens Above!" (1963) with Peter Sellers, "Summer Holiday" (1963) and the comedic drama "Charlie Bubbles" (1967) with Albert Finney. He also appeared in "Monte Carlo or Bust!" (1969) with Tony Curtis. Phipps last acted in the Richard Johnson comedic adaptation "Some Girls Do" (1969). Phipps passed away in April 1980 at the age of 67.
