Reality TV star and former political aide Omarosé Manigault-Newman, frequently known simply as Omarosa, was born in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Jack and Theresa Manigault. When Omarosa was 7 years old her father was murdered, and in 2011 her older brother was killed. An older sister died in 2016. Omarosa earned a degree in broadcast journalism from Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, in 1996, and later earned a master's degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She worked in the office of Vice President Al Gore in the 1990s, and later transferred to the Commerce Department. In 2000, she married Aaron Stallworth; they divorced in 2005. Her participation on NBC's ``The Apprentice'' in 2004 brought her into the national spotlight, and she also appeared on the show "Girls Behaving Badly." In 2005 she competed on the show "Fear Factor" and appeared on "The Surreal Life." She later competed on the 2008 season of ``The Celebrity Apprentice,'' and offered commentary for "The Great Debate." In June 2010 she collaborated with Donald Trump to create a dating show titled "The Ultimate Merger," (TV ONE) for which she served as host. A few months later she announced her relationship with actor Michael Clarke Duncan. They were together until his death in 2012. She appeared on "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" in 2013, finishing in 10th place - TV Guide magazine named her one of the 60 nastiest TV villains of all time. In July 2016 she began working for the Donald Trump presidential campaign, and was named to his transition team after his election win. She joined Trump's White House staff in January 2017. On April 8, 2017, she married John Allen Newman at Trump's hotel in Washington, D.C. She left her White House position in December 2017 (some reports say she was fired, others say she resigned), and in January of 2018 she was announced as a competitor on the CBS show "Celebrity Big Brother."
