Patrick Huard
An accomplished writer-director, Patrick Huard's myriad of talents also made him one of Canada's most prolific actors who appeared on countless hit television series as well as in big screen comedies. Born on Jan. 2, 1969 in Montréal, Québec, Canada, Huard launched his acting career on stage before appearing in the comedies "J'en suis!" (1997) and the "Les Boys" (1997) film series. Television kept the actor busy, with appearances on "Music Hall" (CBC, 2002) and "Fortier" (Réseau TVA, 2001). Mainly recognized as a comedic actor, Huard also tackled dramas like "Monica la mitraille" (2004) and "Les guerriers" (2004). In 2006, Huard co-wrote the screenplay as well as starred in the hit "Good Cop, Bad Cop," as a rule-bending police officer who reluctantly joins forces with a by-the-book detective (Colm Feore) to solve a murder. Also an accomplished director, one of Huard's most successful projects was the comedy "Les 3 p'tits cochons" ("The Three Little Pigs") (2007), about two brothers who discuss adultery as their comatose mother lies beside them. Huard starred on the hit comedy series "Taxi 0-22" (TVA, 2007-08) as a grumpy cab driver, with a thickly-accented Québec slang, who interacted with various guest stars and passengers. In 2011, he costarred in "Funkytown," followed by a lead role in the blockbuster comedy "Starbuck" (2011), where he played a man who sets out to meet the 533 children he fathered through sperm donations.
