Kate Taylor Globe and Mail Bon Cop Bad Cop 2 is the rare follow-up that does not suffer sequel-itis: It's a movie that develops a franchise rather than just cashing in on it. Rated: 3/4 May 12, 2017 Full Review Peter Howell Toronto Star A movie that's not just very good, but also trs bien. Rated: 3/4 May 11, 2017 Full Review Radheyan Simonpillai NOW Toronto Bon Cop Bad Cop 2 is exactly what's wrong with the Canadian film industry. Rated: 1/5 May 11, 2017 Full Review Victor Stiff Goomba Stomp Feore and Huard's comical rapport kept a silly grin planted on my face for most of the film. Mar 30, 2020 Full Review Randall King Winnipeg Free Press If the film ends up working, it owes something to the current news cycle. Rated: 3/5 May 12, 2017 Full Review Janet Smith Georgia Straight Despite some glossy car chases (maybe more than we need) and violent run-ins with evil mob bosses, the film feels too long for the fluff that it is. Liam D The best buddy cop Duo since Lee and Carter from Rush Hour and just as dynamic as ever Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/20/21 Full Review Audience Member Very well made movie. I struggled to stay focused with the significant amount of french in the flick. But the pace, characters, story and humour were all good. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A rarity to see such chemistry carried over in a sequel with a duo the way Feore and Huard do. The movie builds on what was established in Bon Cop Bad Cop and added to it. The film works as great satire on America and American while keeping its focus on it's Canadian humor building off stereotypes. The only downfall is that as a Canadian film it won't been seen by a sizable audience that it richly deserves Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member American bashing movie - the Americans are not only moronic, but they are the evil, bad guys in the movie.. I liked it up until about 2/3rds way thru and that's when it starts to bash americans the rest of the way...It's also gets a little nonsensical at this point. the 2 cops go to "save the Dave" by themselves because there's "No time" to call for help. (They Couldn't call the cops and tell them to meet them at the location?) It was a good movie up until then, but after that it was just a lame joke....OBVIOUSLY, the movie was made by a left-wing liberal who hates americans... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member the best buddy-cop movie I've seen on the last few years! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/22/18 Full Review Audience Member Fantastic movie, was not prepared for it to be a good as the first one. Clearly I came in with the wrong interpretation because it was easily just as good as the first one (the cinematography was a bit better, mostly because of technology changing). Would definatly reccomend this movie to any fans of comedy and or action movies. Don't pass on it because you think it's a crummy french movie, seriously it's really freakin good Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
