Pau Brunet

One of Spain's leading box-office analysts, Pau Brunet then made the leap from writing about films to making them, achieving success as a member of LA Panda Productions with the cyber thriller "Open Windows" (2014) and long-distance romance "10,000 KM" (2014). Born in Barcelona in 1981, Brunet began analysing movie industry takings at the age of 16 and later founded Spain's premier box-office tracking website before moving to Los Angeles where alongside Variety scribe Emilio Mayorga, he created the agencie, Boxoffice Consulting and Boxoffice Script. Brunet served as a marketing consultant on a number of films including drug trafficking drama "Guts" (2009), found footage possession movie "Exorcismus" (2010), sci-fi fantasy "Eva" (2011), psychological thriller "Childish Games" (2012), love triangle tale "Angels of Sex" (2012) and kidnap mystery "Three-60" (2013). But after joining forces with a number of like-minded rising stars of Spanish filmmaking to form LA Panda Productions, Brunet began using his expertise in a producing capacity, first with "Inside The Box" (2013), a short film starring Bethel Wilson as a small-town police officer forced to confront a secret that he's been hiding from his family, and then with "Open Windows" (2014), a real-time technological thriller in which Elijah Wood's superfan becomes involved in a deadly cat-and-mouse game with his favorite actress. Brunet then added to his body of consulting work with the creepy-kid horror "Purgatorio" (2014), murder mystery "Asesinos inocentes" (2015) and cult-based drama "Vulcania" (2015) before his second full-length feature as an executive producer, "10,000 KM" (2014) became a festival favorite.
