A magical board game unleashes a world of adventure on siblings Peter (Bradley Pierce) and Judy Shepherd (Kirsten Dunst). While exploring an old mansion, the youngsters find a curious, jungle-themed game called Jumanji in the attic. When they start playing, they free Alan Parrish (Robin Williams), who's been stuck in the game's inner world for decades. Wonderfully directed movie with a great cast of characters. The CGI is a little dated but everything else is spot on. Each character has a well thought out arc, the dialogue is lean and punchy, the story moves along at a gripping pace and the concept is really fresh. I don't understand the lukewarm rating on RT for Jumanji. It's one of the best fantasy movies ever made. The casting was faultless.
