The tight narrow corridors and compartments certainly increase the sense of containment and entrapment. It's the reason that wartime submarine movies can be so palpably tense. But once everyone is aboard the ship, [It] becomes quite static.

Blood Vessel isn't going to change the genre but it's not trying to. Instead, it's taking some of the most fantastical bullet points of it and honing in on them and extrapolating them into big bouts of bloodsucking fun.

It's not a 'triple A' production in terms of budget but my wife and I very much enjoyed this wartime set, vampire horror mash up. It's well acted and directed, has some decent visuals, a cohesive plot and uses the confines of the ship to create a nice claustrophobic building tension. Very nice.

A boat of survivors find refugee in a German ship infested with Nazi vampires. "Blood Vessel" ticks all the boxes of a classic vampire movie. Once onboard of this vessel, the audience will be sucked all in!

These are suppose to be vampire not zombies. Not the tiniest bite turns a victim into a vampire. There are rules to Vampirism. Like "The Twilight Saga" rules this movie doesn't know. Plus, these are horribly annoying people that you wish the vampires feed on, just to shut them up. SPOILER ALERT! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE ENDING THEN STOP READING: The nurse character gets a tiny bite on the hand to become a vampire. Together the two kill the head vampire, forgetting another vampire rule. After they are picked up probably to start this blood another bloodbath, because vampires existing and are probably other Nazi vampire experiments out there wasn't good enough sequel bait.
