Alok R A must see. Educational. Well made. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/10/17 Full Review J F All the science of Jenny McCarthy's conclusions on vaccines. The problem with most scripts written by activists with a cause is the lack of story that usually comes with it. Take Erin Brockovich's story, replace PG&E with GMO, and voila, a script. An incredibly formulaic, predictable, condescending script, but a script. Get big name celebrities who care more about their activism and appearing for a cause rather than a good story, and we have Consumed. Maybe Zoe Lister-Jones is tired as being seen as a comedy actress, or is delusional enough to think the trainwreck of a script would get nominated for some awards. Either way, she should stick to saying words written by professional writers (or keep writing one-woman shows and short films nobody cares about) With a lot of TV shows so well-written, LA must have professional writers capable of telling a compelling story. Of course, a professional writer might deliver a good story, but the "science" would still be lacking. At least Jones is a talented actress so she doesn't need to write scripts to make a living. However, Daryl Wein appears to be a talentless hack, since he co-wrote and directed this garbage. With so many causes being in vogue I'm sure he'll probably always have actors falling over themselves to appear in an activist film. Whoever financed this sham of a movie should be more selective when funding films. A box office take of $20,000 doesn't seem like a very great investment. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/20/17 Full Review Audience Member If you believe this movie is scientifically based, you need to do your homework. There has never been any human side effects documented due to gmo. Humans have genetically modified food for thousands of years. Before current methods, radiation was used to develop a mutation. Current methods allow for specific gene changes, which is much more accurate. You can find any information online, including many falsified information. Please look on university websites and accredited scientific organizations (many false 'scientific' sites as well). I am a scientist with no affiliation to any private company or do I work with gmo products. I'm just tired of false reporting. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member It's along the lines of Silkwood and Erin Brokovich. Great movie Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member 2016-01-07 good insight into GMOs Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review a.l.jude p The crux matter told in a subtle and surreal way and it looks like it has no weight. No one will remember this again. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
