College student Jay (David Grant) is walking with his professor Max (John Kessel) when suddenly shots ring out. Seeing his roommate, Walt (Stephen Grant), calling to him from a nearby rooftop, Jay makes his way toward him, thinking he needs help. But Jay discovers that Walt is the shooter, convinced he's been stricken with a "metaphysical virus" going around that erases people from existence and memory. At first perplexed, Jay soon begins to wonder if there's some truth to Walt's story.
