darin c A pretty good idea to bring the classic monsters together again that turned into a pretty bad movie, lol. The type of movie in the background while visiting Jay. I recommend watching Abbott & Costello again... Frankenstein is easily one of the coolest I have seen in my travels through the $1 DVD bins. And the thought of these two titans of horror going against each other seemed like such a cool movie idea. But sadly, the movie’s title is extremely misleading. There is no battle between these two. In fact, I’m not really sure why this movie is called Dracula Vs. Frankenstein. The movie is about a group of aliens from a dying planet who plan on taken our world over. How do they plan on doing that? By either creating or resurrecting the monsters from legendary stories and have them destroy us. Ed Wood’s Plan 9 from Outer Space had a similar theme where aliens brought back the recently deceased to stop us from creating the ultimate weapon. The difference between the two films is that while Plan 9 is bad, it is bad in a fun way. Dracula Vs. Frankenstein is just bad… in a boring way. The original title for the film is Los Monstruos del Terror… which I suppose translates into The Terror of the Monsters. That title makes more sense than Dracula Vs. Frankenstein. But even that title doesn’t make up for the lousy time this movie offers. Utterly incoherent, and completely pointless. One of the worst horror films I have ever seen. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews
