Brian Orndorf BrianOrndorf.com No sense of rhythm, no sense of humor, and no sense of mockery. It's a cocktail napkin idea the filmmakers view as comedic origami, and frankly, a real 9-5 job is more appealing than anything this movie has to offer. Audience Member Deadpan, slightly absurd little indie comedy about the aliens among us. Original music, filmed on location in Louisiana. I've worked in offices where people work in cubicles and I often thought of us as drones in a hive, or pod people. Maybe pretending our co-workers are aliens would make it all more bearable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member It's dry. If you don't have or appreciate dry wit, you'll feel like you've been left out, because you have. If you "get" Hitchhikers (not the movie, but virtually any of its other iterations) then you're likely to be quick enough to get this. Clue: The entire plot is rife with existential paradoxes that manifest as self manufactured crises a la the Vogons and Arthur Dent's house. If you're quick you'll pick up what's going on on the first run through, if not it'll take a few viewings. I like movies like that..... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Thought this one was poorly made. Just blaa leaving me blaa. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice gem of a movie--Everyone acts in kind of a stilted, formal way, but I'm pretty sure that was the point. The plot does get a little ridiculous, but plenty of laughs along the way. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member could see what they were trying to do, but they couldn't pull it off Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a fantastically awesome film! I'm not going to say anything about the plot, as I don't want to give anything away. That being said, if I described the plot, it would sound 100% unworkable, yet, somehow they make it work. The dialog is fantastic, and it features a great ensemble cast, including two "Freaks and Geeks" alums. Very funny! Highly, highly recommended!
