Audience Member Wonderful comedy. Maria Felix and Jorge Negrete were a great couple, pitty Negrete died that year. Felix' character was funny, violent, hypocrite, liar, invulnerable but romantic, in the deep. Negrete played the typical macho who stands the insults and Felix' indifference until he gets sick of it. Emilio Fernandez' house was an incredible stage for the film. The screenplay and the direction are outstanding, too bad this film is underrated.
