Pablo Villaça Cinema em Cena Emicidas work is even more uplifting thanks to his humbleness in pointing out how he stands on the shoulders of those who, with their struggle and their death, opened up the paths he travels and which he still has to pioneer today. Audience Member An outstanding message in a terrible year. A very beautiful musical journey through time and space. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Um belíssimo documentário, com sua identidade única. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member To introduce his new album, Emicida takes a deep and emotional dive into Afro-Brazilian culture. With reverence, the musician honors important figures past and present and explains the roots of his music. Emicida talks about changing the past, with his present actions, by presenting us with the history the books don't tell... Black history. And while his music is not my cup of tea, his work is certainly necessary. Both the forgotten history he brings us, and the fight for inclusion and recognition for his people in which he is engaged are much needed for the country. Now, more than ever. Many thanks to him and all the involved. This was a lesson. Brilliant work indeed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
