Far too much subtle symbolism and Kafka-esque themes to me, I shudder to think how this might have been without Villenueve's masterful direction helping it along, but still worth a watch.

Enemy is one of those films that’s more interesting than fun to watch. Gyllenhaal’s on great form (twice over), and Villeneuve’s direction is slick and moody as ever. I was into the whole theme of self-sabotage—how bad decisions come back to bite—but it’s definitely more of a thinker than a thriller. The final scene is meant to rattle you, but it didn’t do much for me, mainly because that kind of thing doesn’t freak me out. I know loads of people who’d hate it, though. It's not a bad watch; it's just not one I’d be in a hurry to revisit.

- Spoiler Alerts - What a snoozer. They should have spent less of their budget on cepia toning all the footage and more on spicing up the plot. So what the look like each other. Talk about handling it awkardly. And how does the actor one find out where the teacher one lives? Why take the teacher one's gf for a night out of town...how does that avenge or even anything out? I kept waiting for this to go somewhere and then BAM! Abrupt no-meaning confusing BS ending. No wonder I never remember this movie releasing. And the last SEVENTEEN minutes are credits?! Pff pass on it! I wasted $3 renting from Fandango.
